If the hirer wishes to change the drop-off destination after the Rental has commenced, they must first obtain authorisation by contacting 0423 658 230. Subject to the change being approved, an additional charge of up to A$700 may apply.
2 Wheel Drive vehicles can only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads.
4 Wheel Drive Campervans can also be driven on recognised tracks.
Any problems associated with the vehicle, including equipment failure, must be reported to 0423 658 230 as soon as possible, and within 24 hours in order to give the hiring company the opportunity to rectify the problem during the rental. We do not accept liability for any claims submitted after this period.
Repairs up to A$100 may be effected without prior authorisation and will be reimbursed. For amounts greater than A$100, we will need to be informed in advance. Repairs will be approved provided the hirer was not directly responsible for the damage.
Receipts must be kept and submitted for any repair or the claim will not be paid.

Personal Injury is covered in most cases through Registration 3rd Party Insurance and is not additionally charged to hirers, however recommends that all clients take out Personal Injury Travel Insurance. All vehicles are insured for the damage to the vehicle or to the property of a third party.
The hirer is responsible for the first $8,000 ('the excess") of the cost of damage to third party property or to the rented vehicle, including single vehicle accident, windscreen and tyre damage, overhead and underbody damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire or break-in. This also includes the cost of the daily rental for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs ('demurrage'). The excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental.
The excess is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident report is completed, not at the completion of the rental. The excess will be refunded if we are successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the third party. This $8,000 excess can be reduced, in most circumstances, by the purchase of Excess Reduction Waiver.
Excess Reduction Waiver
With Excess Reduction Waiver the hirer is responsible for the first $2,400 of ANY ACCIDENT COST (save for any specified exclusions), including single vehicle accident, windscreen and tyre damage, overhead and underbody damage, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire or break in. This also includes the cost of the daily rental rate for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs (demurrage).
|Daily Ins. charge of A$29.00 (max. charge A$1,650)|
Standard Excess, Excess Reduction Waiver does not cover water submersion or salt water damage.
Personal belongings are not covered. We recommend the hirer does not leave valuables in the vehicle and should take out personal insurance.
All Excess Reduction is void if the terms of the Rental Agreement are breached. The hirer will be responsible for the total cost of any damage. This will also include any damage caused by wilful conduct (e.g. sitting or standing on the bonnet or roof of the vehicle) and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Standard Excess, Excess Reduction Waiver does not cover the incorrect use of fuel (fuel being diesel or Unleaded petrol or leaded petrol). The hirer will be responsible for any associated cost.
The Hirer will be responsible for the cost to retrieve or recover a vehicle which has become bogged, regardless of the Excess Reduction Waiver.
On pick up of the vehicle, a Security Deposit is payable . If you do not take Excess Reduction Waiver, the Security Deposit is AU$3,000 payable by cash, Traveller's Cheques, or credit cards. Should the Deposit be paid by credit card, the amount will be debited to your account immediately. If you have taken the Excess Reduction Waiver option the Security Deposit is reduced to A$2,000. For any payments made by credit card, authorisation will be sought for the amounts to be paid.
The Security Deposit is fully refundable provided the vehicle is returned on time, undamaged and with fuel and LP gas tanks full, and the vehicle and any associated camping equipment in good undamaged and clean condition. A cleaning fee of A$150 may be charged for vehicles returned with uncleaned interiors or uncleaned accessories including any camping equipment and cooking utensils. Missing items of equipment will be charged for (refer list of replacements rates).
We reserve the right to charge the hirer for any speeding or parking fines, associated administration costs and/or accidents including third party property damage not reported on return of the vehicle.
If a credit card is presented as payment, the credit card holder will be jointly and severally liable as a customer.
A valid, non-provisional, driving licence is required. In case of international hirers, if you have a driver's license from your home country, with your photograph on it, you probably won't need anything else. In some cases you may need to carry a translation of your licence if it isn't in English. You probably do not need an international drivers' license.
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over. A medical certificate is required for drivers over the age of 75.
